What are skin boosters?
Skin boosters (스킨 부스터) are a family of treatments aimed at the quality of the skin itself. Where lifting changes position and filler changes shape, boosters aim to make skin look and feel healthier: smoother texture, better resilience, more even surface, improved firmness or faster comfort after other procedures. In Korea they are among the most commonly requested aesthetic treatments, often as maintenance between larger interventions.
“Skin booster” is a loose term. The products under this heading work in quite different ways, which is why choosing one should start from what your skin needs rather than from a product name you have heard about.
The options at Doje Clinic
- Rejuran — a polynucleotide (PN) booster for skin quality and resilience; added selectively. Eye Rejuran targets the eye area.
- GOURI — liquid PCL collagen booster for gradual, even firming.
- Re2O — ECM booster from purified acellular human dermal matrix for thin, less dense skin; Re2O Fine for the eye area.
- Doje autologous exosome — own-source regenerative care; part of the One-Day Program and paired with Potenza.
- Exosome — supportive regenerative care for texture and recovery.

Two faces, same treatment, different results.
The difference is the design. Tell us your goals and dates; in your 1:1 consultation Dr. Byun Jeik shows you what your face needs, and what it doesn't.
How Doje Clinic chooses a skin booster
Dr. Byun Jeik starts from the skin's condition and your goal. Mark-View 3D data can help by showing texture, pores, pigment and redness objectively. The table below shows typical starting points; your plan may differ.
| Main skin concern | Often considered |
|---|---|
| Thin, tired skin lacking resilience | Rejuran |
| Overall loss of firmness | GOURI |
| Thin, less dense skin; delicate eye area | Re2O / Re2O Fine |
| Pores and texture with RF microneedling | Autologous exosome or exosome + Potenza |
| Recovery support on a one-day plan | Doje autologous exosome (One-Day Program) |
Delivery matters too. Hand injection gives point-by-point precision, Dermashine Pro offers uniform micro-injection across larger areas, and Potenza combines RF microneedling with booster delivery.
Who they suit — and who they don't
- Suit: dull, dehydrated, thin or textured skin.
- Suit: maintenance between lifting or energy-device treatments.
- Not enough alone: sagging, jowls or deep hollows — these need structural treatment.
- Postpone or discuss: pregnancy or breastfeeding, active infection or acne flare, relevant allergies.
What to expect step by step
- 1:1 consultation and, where useful, skin analysis.
- Plan: booster, delivery method, sessions and combinations agreed.
- Preparation: cleansing and numbing.
- Treatment: booster delivered as planned.
- Soothing and aftercare: supportive care where included; written guidance.
Recovery
Small bumps, redness or pinpoint bruises are common for about a day, longer if combined with microneedling. Avoid saunas, alcohol, strenuous exercise and active skincare ingredients for a short period. See skin booster aftercare.
Cost
Cost depends on the booster, delivery method, area and sessions, so it is quoted after a 1:1 consultation. Korean aesthetic fees are non-covered (비급여) and set per plan — ask for a written quote.

Frequently asked questions
What is a skin booster?
A treatment that improves skin quality, such as texture, resilience or firmness, rather than changing facial shape or volume.
Which skin booster should I choose?
It depends on your skin condition and goal. Dr. Byun chooses between Rejuran, GOURI, Re2O and exosome options at consultation.
Are skin boosters the same as filler?
No. Filler adds shape and volume; skin boosters target skin quality and generally do not change contours.
How often should I have skin boosters?
Many people have a short initial series followed by maintenance, but timing is set by reviewing your skin.
Can skin boosters be combined with lifting?
Yes. Lifting addresses structure and boosters address skin quality, so they often complement each other.
