What skin boosters do — and why recovery varies

Skin boosters improve skin quality rather than shape: hydration, texture, fine lines, elasticity and glow. At Doje they are used selectively — for example within hydration and soothing care, for pores and texture, or around the eyes — rather than as a routine add-on.

• Rejuran and Eye Rejuran are injected in many small, superficial points, so small bumps are typical for a day or so. Doje adds Rejuran selectively where skin recovery and resilience are the goal.
• GOURI and Re2O are used in Doje's programmes for skin quality and as options alongside lifting; aftercare is similar — mild bumps or redness that settle.
• Autologous exosome and exosome may be delivered with Potenza microneedling (“pumping”), which adds redness and a sunburn-like feeling for a day or two.

Timeline: what is typical

Aftercare checklist

• Do not rub or massage the bumps; they flatten on their own.
• Cleanse gently with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser from the evening or next morning, as advised.
• Moisturise with a plain, fragrance-free product; boosters work alongside good hydration.
• Sunscreen daily, especially after microneedling.
• Pause actives — retinoids, AHA/BHA, vitamin C serums, scrubs and peels — for a few days or as advised.
• Skip heat — saunas, steam rooms and hot baths — and intense exercise for a day or two.
• Avoid alcohol on the day to reduce redness and bruising.
• Make-up: light make-up from the next day, once injection points have closed.
• Eye area: after Eye Rejuran, avoid rubbing the eyes and contact lenses briefly if advised.

Why a course matters

Skin boosters typically work by supporting the skin's own repair and hydration, so changes tend to accumulate. Many plans use a series of sessions spaced weeks apart, followed by maintenance. Combining boosters with other treatments

Boosters are often part of a broader plan — after energy-based lifting, within the One-Day Program(which pairs a thread lift with Doje autologous exosome and oxygen therapy), or in the Eye Program. Soothing steps such as oxygen therapy or LED may be added to help the skin settle.

When to contact the clinic

• Bumps or redness that worsen after day two or three instead of fading.
• Warmth, pain, pus or spreading redness.
• Persistent lumps beyond a couple of weeks.
• Rash, itching or swelling suggesting a reaction.
