Aesthetic Maintenance Schedule · Cheongdam & Apgujeong, Seoul

A typical maintenance schedule pairs a yearly structural step, such as energy-device lifting or a thread-lift review, with Botox roughly every three to four months and skin boosters in short series. At Doje Clinic in Cheongdam and Apgujeong, Seoul, Dr. Byun Jeik builds each calendar individually around your ageing pattern and travel.

Key facts

Structure (lift) Energy-device lifting commonly about once a year; thread lift reviewed as it softens
Muscle Botox typically every 3–4 months, if wanted
Volume Filler reviewed every 6–12 months; topped up only if needed
Skin quality Boosters in a short series, then periodic sessions
Pigment Toning in series, often favoured in cooler months

Think in layers, not in treatments

A maintenance plan is easier to understand if you stop thinking about product names and start thinking about the layers of the face, because each layer ages at its own pace and is refreshed on its own rhythm.

  • Structure (SMAS, retaining ligaments, deep support) changes slowly, so it needs the least frequent attention: a lifting step about once a year or less.
  • Volume (fat compartments, filler) shifts over years. Reviewing it once or twice a year avoids both deflation and over-correction.
  • Muscle activity returns within months, so Botox has the shortest cycle.
  • Skin surface (texture, hydration, pigment) responds to series of treatments and to daily habits such as sun protection.

This is the practical meaning of Doje Clinic's philosophy, “care needs change as time passes”: the plan is revisited, not repeated by habit.

An example 12-month calendar

This is an illustration only. Your own calendar depends on your face, your goals and how often you can visit.

Period Example focus
Month 1 Consultation and Mark-View 3D baseline; structural step such as Ultherapy Prime, Thermage or a thread lift; Botox if needed
Months 2–3 Skin booster series (for example Rejuran or GOURI), spaced a few weeks apart
Month 4 Botox review; filler review for any remaining hollows
Months 5–8 Light hydration and soothing care; strict sun protection through summer
Month 8 Botox review
Months 9–11 Pigment-focused Helios toning or texture work as the weather cools
Month 12 Re-assessment against the baseline and a new plan for the year

Adapting the schedule if you live abroad

Many international patients visit Seoul once or twice a year. In that case, the calendar is compressed into visits: the structural step and any filler happen during the trip, and longer-cycle treatments are chosen so that the result carries through until the next visit. Treatments that need a series, such as some skin boosters, can be started on one trip and continued on the next, or swapped for options better suited to a single session. Between visits, sun protection and a simple routine do more than any occasional treatment. Questions can be sent through WhatsApp, KakaoTalk or LINE.

Signals that it is time for maintenance

  • Expression lines returning at rest after Botox
  • The jawline or cheek contour looking softer in photos taken in the same light
  • Make-up settling into texture or pores more than before
  • Pigment darkening after a sunny season
  • Changes shown on a repeat Mark-View 3D analysis

How Doje keeps maintenance minimal

More frequent is not better. Repeating filler before the previous product has gone can gradually distort proportions, and stacking devices out of habit adds cost and downtime without adding much. Dr. Byun Jeik plans maintenance in a 1:1 consultation and asks a simple question at each visit: what has actually changed? Because Doje explicitly avoids applying every device as a package, a maintenance visit may be as simple as Botox and a review, or it may be a year in which only a lifting step is needed. Cost

A clear calendar makes budgeting easier, but fees are still quoted after a 1:1 consultation and you can request a written quote. Korean non-covered (비급여) aesthetic fees are set per plan.

Frequently asked questions

How often should I have Ultherapy or Thermage?

Many people repeat energy-device lifting about once a year, but the interval depends on skin quality, age and how the result holds.

Can I have Botox every month?

Very frequent dosing is generally avoided. Intervals of around three months or longer are commonly recommended, partly to reduce the risk of reduced response over time.

Do I need to top up filler every year?

Not necessarily. Filler is reviewed rather than automatically repeated; many people need small or no top-ups when structure is supported first.

When should a thread lift be repeated?

Thread lift results can last up to two years or more according to the clinic, so the timing is decided at review as the lift softens, not on a fixed date.

Is it better to visit Seoul once or twice a year?

Twice a year suits plans that include Botox or skin series; once a year can work for structure-focused plans. Your consultation will suggest which fits.
