What is Mark-View 3D?

The mirror is a poor judge of skin. Lighting changes, we look at ourselves from the same angle every day, and subtle changes — good or bad — are easy to miss. Mark-View 3D (마크뷰 3D) is a skin-analysis system that captures standardised images of the face under controlled conditions and converts them into objective data. Typical outputs relate to features such as surface texture, pores, pigmentation, redness and lines, presented visually so they are easy to discuss.

Because the images are taken in a consistent way, they can also be repeated later and compared. That makes it possible to see whether a course of treatment has changed what it was meant to change, rather than relying on memory.

How Doje Clinic uses skin data

Doje Clinic's approach starts with assessment: facial structure, ageing pattern and your goals. Mark-View 3D adds an objective layer to the skin part of that assessment. Where structure is the main issue — sagging, volume loss — the decision rests mostly on clinical examination by Dr. Byun Jeik. Where skin quality is part of the concern, objective data helps to choose between options such as Helios dual toning for pigment, Potenza for pores and texture, or skin boosters for quality and resilience.

Skin data also supports Doje's principle of using treatments only as far as needed. Seeing which issues are prominent and which are mild helps avoid adding steps that would not make a meaningful difference.

What the analysis can and cannot show

Helpful for Less helpful for
Visualising pigment distribution and uneven tone Judging deep structural sagging
Documenting pores and texture Diagnosing skin disease on its own
Tracking redness and sensitivity patterns Predicting exactly how you will respond
Comparing before and after a course Replacing a physician's examination

Skin analysis is a planning tool. It informs the conversation, but the final plan comes from a 1:1 consultation where the data is interpreted alongside your history, lifestyle and goals.

Who benefits most

  • Pigmentation concerns such as melasma, freckles or uneven tone.
  • Pores and texture where progress is hard to judge in the mirror.
  • Sensitive or redness-prone skin that needs a gentle, measured plan.
  • Anyone starting a course who wants a baseline to compare against.

What to expect step by step

  1. Preparation: make-up is removed so the skin is imaged accurately.
  2. Imaging: you sit at the device for a short series of standardised captures.
  3. Review: Dr. Byun walks you through the results and what they mean.
  4. Plan: findings are combined with clinical assessment to agree your treatment plan.
  5. Follow-up: repeat analysis later, where useful, to compare progress.

Tips for accurate results

Arrive without heavy make-up if possible, and avoid strong exfoliation or a sauna immediately beforehand, as temporary redness can affect readings. If you have recently tanned or had a treatment, mention it so the results can be interpreted correctly. Read more in reading your Mark-View skin analysis.

Cost

Mark-View 3D is part of consultation and planning, and any fee is explained when you book or at your 1:1 consultation. Korean aesthetic fees are non-covered (비급여) and set per plan — ask for a written quote.
