Two collagen stimulators, two jobs
Collagen stimulators are often grouped together, but they behave differently once injected. Radiesse contains small calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel. The gel gives immediate support and some definition; as it is absorbed, the microspheres act as a scaffold around which new collagen forms. Placed deeper, it can help define a jawline; diluted and spread more superficially, it can firm the skin of the lower face.
GOURI is a liquid formulation of polycaprolactone (PCL), a biodegradable material long used in medicine. Because it is liquid rather than a particle-based gel, it is designed to spread evenly through a treated layer and stimulate collagen across the whole area, improving skin density, fine texture and elasticity without creating shape or projection. Patients sometimes describe the aim as skin that looks thicker and healthier rather than fuller.
How Doje Clinic uses each
At Doje, injectables are chosen for the layer and problem, just as energy devices are. Radiesse is listed as an option in the Mid-Face, Marionette and Jawline programmes, where support and firmness complement a thread lift. GOURI (or Re2O) appears as a lifting-programme option and in the skin side of the clinic — pore and texture care and hydration care — where the goal is better skin rather than a changed contour. Dr. Byun Jeik decides which fits after a 1:1 assessment, sometimes supported by Mark-View 3D analysis.

When Doje combines them
Because they act on different aspects, they can be used in the same plan in different areas. A patient after a lower-face thread lift might receive Radiesse along the jawline for support and GOURI across the cheeks for skin density. Another might need only one. Doje does not stack stimulators by default — each is added only when a specific problem calls for it.
Which should you choose?
- Radiesse — if you want firmer, more defined contours, especially along the jaw and lower face.
- GOURI — if your skin feels thin, crepey or lacks density, and you do not want added shape.
- Both — if you need contour support in one area and skin quality in another.
- Rejuran or Re2O instead — if repair and hydration matter more than collagen volume; see Rejuran vs GOURI.
Recovery and aftercare
Mild swelling, tenderness or small injection marks usually settle within days. Follow advice on massage, heat and skincare; see skin booster aftercare.
Cost

Frequently asked questions
Is GOURI a filler?
Not in the usual sense. It is a liquid PCL collagen booster designed to improve skin quality rather than add shape.
Which gives a more visible change?
Radiesse can give some immediate support and definition; GOURI changes are more gradual and focused on skin texture and density.
Which suits thin, crepey skin?
GOURI is often considered for thin or crepey skin, while Radiesse is more focused on support and firmness in the lower face.
Can Radiesse and GOURI be used together?
Yes, usually in different areas for different goals, and only when the assessment supports both.
How many sessions are needed?
It varies; some people need one session and others a short series. Dr. Byun advises after assessment.
