Why measure skin at all?
Mirrors and phone cameras are unreliable. Lighting, angle, makeup and even how tired you are change what you see, and people tend to fixate on one feature while missing another. A standardised analysis such as Mark-View 3D captures the face under controlled conditions so the same features can be compared over time. At Doje Clinic it is one input among several — the others being Dr. Byun Jeik's examination, your history and your goals.
The value is not in a single score. It lies in seeing which concerns are most prominent in your skin, how they are distributed across the face, and whether they change after treatment.
How to read the main categories
Skin analysis systems typically group findings into a handful of categories. The exact labels and readouts on your report may differ, but the logic of reading them is similar:
- Pigmentation (색소) — spots, uneven tone or diffuse patches. The question is depth and pattern: superficial sun spots behave differently from deeper or hormonally influenced pigment such as melasma. This guides whether Helios dual toning is suitable and how intense and frequent sessions should be.
- Redness and vascular signs — may reflect sensitivity, inflammation or visible vessels. High redness often means calming the skin comes before stronger treatments.
- Pores and texture — enlarged pores and roughness often travel together and may respond to collagen-building approaches such as Potenza.
- Wrinkles and fine lines — the analysis can show where lines concentrate; whether they are caused by movement, skin thinning or volume loss is decided clinically.
- Surface contour (3D) — three-dimensional imaging can help visualise contour and shadowing, which is useful when discussing structure and lifting.

Two faces, same treatment, different results.
The difference is the design. Tell us your goals and dates; in your 1:1 consultation Dr. Byun Jeik shows you what your face needs, and what it doesn't.
Common misreadings to avoid
- Treating every red flag at once. A report may highlight several areas. Not all need treatment, and doing everything at once can irritate skin.
- Comparing with other people. Scores are most meaningful compared with your own earlier results, not with a friend's or an average.
- Over-reading small changes. Season, hydration, sleep, menstrual cycle and recent sun can shift results. Look for consistent trends.
- Confusing skin with structure. Skin analysis is about the surface and near-surface. Sagging, volume loss and ligament weakness are judged by examination; see facial ageing layers.
From data to plan: how Doje uses your results
- Prioritise. Dr. Byun Jeik identifies the one or two findings that most affect how your skin looks overall.
- Match the tool to the finding. Pigment pattern points towards toning settings; texture and pores towards Potenza or exosome + Potenza pumping; dehydration and sensitivity towards hydration and soothing care, with Rejuran added selectively.
- Combine only as far as needed. If skin quality is the main issue, energy-based lifting may not be needed; if structure is the main issue, skin care supports rather than leads.
- Set a review point. Repeating the analysis after a course, under similar conditions, shows what has changed and what should come next.
Preparing for your analysis
- Arrive with clean skin if you can, or allow time to cleanse at the clinic.
- Avoid strong exfoliation or new active products in the days before, so results reflect your usual skin.
- Mention recent sun exposure, illness or treatments.
- For follow-ups, try to keep similar conditions — time of day and skincare routine.
Cost

Frequently asked questions
What does a Mark-View 3D skin analysis show?
It provides objective imaging-based data about the skin, typically covering features such as pigmentation, redness, pores, texture and lines, to support treatment planning.
Does the analysis decide my treatment?
No. It is one input; Dr. Byun Jeik combines it with an examination, your history and your goals.
Why do my scores change between visits?
Season, hydration, sleep, sun exposure and recent treatments can all shift results, so consistent trends matter more than small changes.
Can skin analysis measure sagging?
Skin analysis focuses on the skin; sagging and volume loss are judged mainly by clinical examination, although 3D imaging can help visualise contour.
How often should I repeat the analysis?
Typically before a skin plan and again after a course, under similar conditions, to see what has changed.
How should I prepare?
Come with clean skin if possible and avoid strong exfoliation or new active products in the days before.
