Why the consultation is the treatment plan

Two people can point to the same line beside the mouth and need completely different care. In one, the fold deepens because the mid-face has descended and the cheek no longer supports the skin; in another, it is mainly volume loss; in a third, thin skin and lost elasticity dominate. Filling the fold in all three would treat a symptom, not the cause.

That is why Doje does not start from a price list or a device. The consultation identifies which layer — skin, fat, ligament support, muscle activity or bone — is driving the change you see, and only then chooses tools. It also reflects the clinic's philosophy that care needs change as time passes: what suits a face at 38 is rarely what it needs at 55.

The five stages of a Doje consultation

1. Listening. You describe what bothers you, what you like about your face and how visible you are willing for change to be. Work, travel and event dates are noted now.
2. Medical screening. Medications, supplements, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding, skin conditions, healing history and previous aesthetic procedures, including products and dates where known.
3. Structural examination. Dr. Byun Jeik assesses the face at rest and in motion: retaining ligaments, fat compartments, sagging vectors, muscle pull and skin thickness. Lighting and angles matter, so this is done in person rather than from selfies alone.
4. Objective skin data. Where pigment, pores, texture or skin quality are part of the question, Mark-View 3D provides measurements that make planning — and later comparison — less subjective.
5. Plan design. The doctor explains the options, what each layer of treatment is for, what can be staged and what can be left alone.

How the plan is built

Doje's toolkit includes thread lifting (실리프팅), soft and structural filler, collagen boosters such as Radiesse, skin boosters such as Rejuran, GOURI and Re2O, autologous exosome, and energy devices including Ultherapy Prime, Thermage, Softwave and ONDA. The consultation decides how few of these you need.

• Lift and support — threads or ligament-level filler when descent is the main issue.
• Volume — soft or structural filler, placed for support rather than bulk.
• Tightening — an energy device chosen by depth, degree of sagging, fat and elasticity, rather than every device at once.
• Skin quality — boosters, exosome or laser when texture, pores, pigment or hydration are the concern.

For many people the result is one of the structured programmes — Mid-Face, Marionette, Jawline or Eye — adjusted to the individual. For others it is a single treatment.

Preparing for a better consultation

Bring a list of previous procedures and medications, a couple of older photos and your calendar. If you are visiting from abroad, include your departure date — the plan can be shaped around it. Arriving with clean skin helps both examination and imaging.

Cost

Fees are set per plan and quoted after the 1:1 consultation. Ask for a written quote itemising each element. Korean non-covered (비급여) aesthetic fees are determined by the individual plan, so the clinic does not publish one-size prices.

Frequently asked questions

Who carries out the consultation?

Dr. Byun Jeik, Representative Director of Doje Clinic, sees patients 1:1. He also designs the plan he recommends.

Will I be offered a package of every device?

No. Doje explicitly avoids applying every device as a package; energy devices are chosen by depth, sagging, fat and elasticity, and only when needed.

Is Mark-View 3D part of every consultation?

It is used where objective skin data helps the plan, for example pigment, pores or texture questions. A pure lifting question may rely mainly on structural examination.

Can I consult online before travelling?

You can send your goals, history and photos through WhatsApp, KakaoTalk, LINE or Instagram DM for preliminary guidance. The final plan is confirmed in person.

What if I only want one small thing?

That is fine. A consultation can end with a single treatment, or with advice that nothing is needed yet.
