Before the day: a preparation checklist
A first appointment is most productive when the doctor can see the whole picture in one sitting. Spending ten minutes on the list below usually saves a second visit and makes the plan more precise.
- Book ahead. Doje sees patients by appointment so the consultation is not rushed. Send your preferred dates and the concern you want to discuss.
- Write down your history. Previous filler, thread lifts, toxin, lasers or energy devices — product names, areas and approximate dates if you know them. Old filler and earlier threads change what is safe to do next.
- List medications and supplements. Blood thinners, aspirin, fish oil, vitamin E and some herbal products can raise bruising risk; never stop a prescribed medicine without your own doctor's advice. See medications before treatment.
- Mention health conditions. Pregnancy or breastfeeding, autoimmune conditions, keloid tendency, active skin infection or recent cold sores all matter.
- Collect reference photos. A photo of yourself from five or ten years ago often explains your goal more clearly than any description.
- Arrive with a clean face if possible. Light or no make-up makes skin assessment and imaging easier.
- Plan your schedule. If you are travelling, note your flight date so the plan can respect recovery time — see how many days to stay in Seoul.
Arriving at the clinic
Doje Clinic is on the second floor of the Dolce Vita Building at 18-6 Dosan-daero 45-gil, in the Apgujeong Rodeo and Cheongdam area of Gangnam. From Apgujeong Rodeo Station on the Suin-Bundang Line, use Exit 5; the walk takes about six minutes. If you drive, building parking is free for two hours and valet is available on the first floor for a separate fee.
Aim to arrive ten minutes early. You will be asked to complete a short intake form covering medical history, allergies and previous procedures. The space is designed to be calm and private, so you will not be discussing your face in a crowded waiting room.

Two faces, same treatment, different results.
The difference is the design. Tell us your goals and dates; in your 1:1 consultation Dr. Byun Jeik shows you what your face needs, and what it doesn't.
What happens in the consultation
The heart of a first visit is the 1:1 consultation with Dr. Byun Jeik, a Seoul National University–trained surgery specialist and aesthetic physician. Rather than offering a fixed menu, he looks at how your face is built and how it is changing.
- Your goals in your own words. What bothers you in the mirror, what you want to keep, and how much change feels comfortable.
- Structural assessment. Bone support, fat compartments, retaining ligaments, skin thickness and elasticity. This explains why, for example, a deep nasolabial fold may be a mid-face support issue rather than a fold to fill.
- Ageing pattern. Whether the main change is volume loss, descent, laxity, skin quality or a mix — the philosophy that care needs change as time passes.
- Objective data. Where useful, Mark-View 3D skin analysis records texture, pores, pigment and other skin parameters for planning.
- A proposed plan. Thread lifting, filler, collagen boosters or energy devices are combined only as far as needed. Doje deliberately avoids applying every device as a package.
Questions worth asking
- What is the main cause of the change I see, and which layer does it sit in?
- What happens if I do nothing, or only one step this year?
- What downtime should I plan around, realistically?
- Which parts of the plan could be staged across visits?
- What are the specific risks for my face and history?
More ideas are in questions to ask before treatment.
Treatment on the same day?
Some plans are designed to be completed in a single visit — the One-Day Program combines a signature thread lift with Doje autologous exosome and oxygen therapy. Whether treatment follows your consultation immediately depends on the plan, your health check and the schedule, so mention it when booking. There is never an obligation to proceed on the day.
Cost
Fees are quoted after the 1:1 consultation, because the plan determines the cost. Ask for a written quote covering each element before you decide. Korean non-covered (비급여) aesthetic fees are set per plan, so a quote for one person cannot be compared directly with another's.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a first visit take?
Allow time for intake, the 1:1 consultation and any imaging. If treatment follows on the same day, the visit is longer; the clinic can give a realistic estimate when you book.
Do I have to decide on treatment at the first visit?
No. You can take the plan and written quote away and decide later. A good plan should still make sense after you sleep on it.
Can I walk in without a booking?
Booking in advance is strongly recommended so that time with Dr. Byun Jeik is reserved for you. Use WhatsApp, KakaoTalk, LINE, Instagram DM or the online form.
Should I wear make-up?
Light or no make-up is helpful because skin assessment and Mark-View 3D imaging are clearer on a clean face.
What if I have had filler or threads elsewhere?
Tell the doctor what was done, where and roughly when. Previous products and threads influence what is safe and sensible next.
