Work backwards from the date
Each treatment has two clocks that matter before an event: how long it takes to look settled, and how long it takes to show its full effect. The safe lead time is the longer of the two.
| Treatment | Minimum lead time | Ideal lead time | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Botox | About 2 weeks | 2–4 weeks | Effect peaks at around two weeks |
| Soft or structural filler | About 2 weeks | 3–4 weeks | Swelling and possible bruising settle |
| Energy-device lifting | A few days for redness | 8–12 weeks | Collagen builds gradually |
| Thread lift | About 2–3 weeks | 6 weeks or more | Swelling and tightness fade |
| Potenza, CO2 laser | 1–2 weeks | 4 weeks or more | Redness and peeling resolve |
| Hydration care, Aquapeel | 1–3 days | About a week | Immediate glow, minimal downtime |
Countdown by how much time you have
- Eight weeks or more: you can address structure, with lifting chosen for your sagging pattern, and still add injectables later.
- Four weeks: filler and Botox, plus a toning or booster session.
- Two weeks: Botox and conservative filler are still realistic; avoid anything with peeling.
- One week: hydration, oxygen therapy, LED and gentle care only.
- 48 hours: no treatment; focus on sleep and keeping salt and alcohol down.

Two faces, same treatment, different results.
The difference is the design. Tell us your goals and dates; in your 1:1 consultation Dr. Byun Jeik shows you what your face needs, and what it doesn't.
The type of event changes the plan
- Photo or video shoot: high-resolution cameras show texture and pigment, so toning and skin quality may matter more than volume.
- Speech or presentation: Botox near the mouth can subtly change how lips move when speaking, so lower-face Botox is often kept conservative or avoided beforehand.
- Outdoor or beach events: sun exposure soon after laser or toning raises pigment risk, so timing and sun protection are planned around it.
- Events involving long-haul travel: leave extra time after injectables so swelling is not added to the effects of a long flight.
What not to do in the final week
- Book a treatment you have never had before
- Try an at-home peel, new active serum or facial device
- Have injectables in a new area
- Get a deep tan or sunburn
- Massage freshly injected areas
How Doje handles short-notice requests
Sometimes the honest advice is to do less. In a 1:1 consultation, Dr. Byun Jeik looks at your facial structure, the time available and the type of event, and may suggest a smaller step now and a fuller plan afterwards. Because Doje explicitly avoids applying every device as a package, there is no pressure to fit everything in before a date. If time is very short, gentle care such as oxygen therapy or Aquapeel may be the wisest choice.
Cost

Frequently asked questions
Is two weeks enough for Botox before an event?
Usually yes. Botox typically reaches its peak effect around two weeks, though allowing a little more time leaves room for any adjustment.
Can I have filler the week before?
It is possible for small amounts, but bruising or swelling may still show. Two weeks or more is safer for an important date.
What can I safely do two days before?
Stick to rest, hydration and sun protection. Avoid treatments, new products and heavy alcohol.
Will Ultherapy show results in time?
Some people notice early tightening, but the main result builds over two to three months, so it is wiser to have it well ahead.
Should I avoid Botox around the mouth before a speech?
Often yes. Lower-face Botox can subtly affect lip movement, so it is usually kept conservative or postponed before speaking events.
