Why wedding skin needs a long runway
Wedding photography is unforgiving: flash, high-resolution lenses and hours of close-up shots show texture, pigment and shadows that daily life hides. The treatments that improve these most, such as collagen-building lifting, pigment toning and skin boosters, work gradually over weeks to months. Injectables are quicker but need time to settle so that swelling or a small bruise does not appear in the photos.
Starting early also allows a trial run. If your skin reacts more than expected, there is time to adjust instead of discovering it the week before. And the wedding is rarely just about one face: partners, parents and attendants often want to look rested too, and their plans follow the same logic.
The month-by-month timeline
This is a typical framework, adapted to each person in consultation.
| When | Typical focus |
|---|---|
| 9–12 months | 1:1 consultation and Mark-View 3D baseline; begin pigment work such as Helios toning if needed; thread lifting if structure is the priority |
| 6 months | Energy-device lifting (for example Ultherapy Prime or Thermage) so results build over the following months; start a skin booster series |
| 3 months | Continue boosters; texture or pore work such as Potenza; review progress against the baseline |
| 6–4 weeks | Filler, including under-eye or ligament support, with time to settle |
| 4–2 weeks | Botox for expression lines or jaw, timed to peak on the day |
| Final week | Hydration and soothing care, Aquapeel or oxygen therapy |
| Last 48 hours | Nothing invasive; sleep, water, sun protection |

Two faces, same treatment, different results.
The difference is the design. Tell us your goals and dates; in your 1:1 consultation Dr. Byun Jeik shows you what your face needs, and what it doesn't.
The final fortnight: simple rules
- No new products, peels or treatments you have not had before
- No injectables in the last seven to ten days if you can avoid it, because of bruising risk
- No sunbathing or tanning; protect any pigment work you have invested in
- Limit alcohol and very salty food, both of which can make the face puffy
- Keep a simple routine you know your skin tolerates
For partners and family
Grooms often prefer subtle changes: a firmer jawline, less tired eyes and smoother skin texture rather than visible volume. Parents of the couple frequently focus on under-eye hollows, neck laxity and jowls, which may suit thread lifting or energy-device lifting done several months ahead. The same timeline applies, and Dr. Byun Jeik plans each person separately so that results look natural side by side in photos. See lifting and skin care for men.
How the Wedding program works at Doje
The Wedding program is not a fixed package. In a 1:1 consultation, Dr. Byun Jeik assesses facial structure, ageing pattern and goals, then selects from Doje's thread lifting, filler, collagen boosters and energy devices only as far as needed. Energy devices are chosen by depth, sagging, fat and elasticity. The result is a written timeline with dates counted back from your wedding.
If the wedding is less than three months away
There is still useful time. Focus on what works quickly and predictably: Botox, modest filler, hydration care and toning sessions. Structural lifting can still help if there are at least several weeks for swelling to settle, but expectations are adjusted to the time available.
Cost
Wedding plans are quoted after a 1:1 consultation and you can ask for a written quote covering the whole timeline. Korean non-covered (비급여) aesthetic fees are set per plan.

Frequently asked questions
When should I get Botox before my wedding?
About two to four weeks before is typical, so the effect has reached its peak and any small bruise has gone.
What is the latest I should have filler?
Around four weeks before is a common target, which allows time for swelling to settle and for any small adjustment.
Can I have a thread lift before my wedding?
Yes, ideally several months ahead and at the very least a few weeks before, so swelling, tightness and entry-point marks have settled.
Should I try a new treatment the week before?
No. The final week is for gentle hydration and treatments your skin already knows.
Can my partner and parents be treated too?
Yes. Each person has their own 1:1 consultation and plan, timed to the same wedding date.
