What is the Eye Program?

The eyes are usually where people first see themselves looking tired. Yet "tired eyes" can mean several quite different things: a brow that has dropped and crowds the upper lid, a hollow groove beneath the eye that casts a shadow, or skin so thin and crepey that it creases and shows the colour beneath. Each has a different cause, and each needs a different tool.

The Eye Program organises treatment along three axes – lifting, volume and skin – so the plan reflects what is actually happening around your eyes rather than a single product applied to every case.

How Doje Clinic approaches the eye area

Dr. Byun Jeik studies the brow position, upper-lid fold, lid–cheek junction and skin texture, in good light and from several angles. Then each axis is considered:

• Lifting – the Doje signature upper-face thread lift (실리프팅) supports the lateral brow and temple region, which can open up a hooded look without changing the shape of the eye.
• Volume – soft filler placed conservatively in hollows such as the tear trough. Thin eye-area skin shows irregularities easily, so a soft product and a cautious amount are used.
• Skin – eye-area skin improvement to address fine crepiness and thinness. Options here include Eye Thermage (radiofrequency with a dedicated eye tip) combined with Softwave, Eye Rejuran, Re2O Fine or GOURI/Re2O.

Many people need only one or two axes. A patient in their early thirties with good brow position may simply need skin care and a small amount of soft filler; another may need lifting first, because filling a hollow under a descended brow and cheek can make the eye look heavier.

Who it suits — and who it doesn't

• Suits people who look tired despite rest, with hollowing, shadowing or a heavier upper lid.
• Suits early brow descent or lateral hooding where a non-surgical lift is reasonable.
• Suits fine, crepey under-eye skin that makeup settles into.
• Honestly not ideal for large, fat-prominent under-eye bags: these often need a surgical assessment. Doje can offer non-surgical care for contour and skin only.
• Significant excess upper-lid skin covering the lashes is usually a surgical matter too.
• Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with eye infection or active inflammation, or shortly before eye surgery.

What to expect, step by step

1. Consultation: assessment of brow, upper lid, under-eye and skin; you can bring photos from a few years ago for comparison.
2. Skin data: Mark-View 3D analysis if skin texture is a key concern.
3. Plan: which axes you need, in which order, and what can be done on one day.
4. Treatment: numbing cream or local anaesthesia; threads, filler or device sessions as planned.
5. Review: a check once early swelling settles, as the eye area shows subtle asymmetries clearly.

Recovery and aftercare

Eye-area tissue swells readily. After filler or threads, puffiness and bruising may be visible for several days, sometimes longer in people who bruise easily. Cold compresses in the first day, sleeping with the head raised and avoiding rubbing the eyes all help. Skin-only treatments such as Eye Thermage or boosters usually involve mild redness or small injection marks that settle quickly. Avoid sauna, alcohol and strenuous exercise for the first days, and use sun protection. Avoid contact lenses briefly if advised.

Can the Eye Program remove under-eye bags?

Prominent fat bags usually need a surgical assessment. The Eye Program can improve contour and skin around them, and you will be told honestly if surgery is the better route.

Is under-eye filler safe?

All filler carries risks, and the eye area needs particular care. Doje uses soft filler conservatively and discusses risks at consultation.

What does the upper-face thread lift do for the eyes?

It supports the outer brow and temple region, which can reduce hooding and give a more open look.

Which skin option is right for me?
