Shadow or skin? The key question

Tired-looking eyes usually come from one of two things, often both. The first is contour: as fat and bone support change with age, a groove forms between the lower eyelid and cheek — the tear trough — and casts a shadow. The second is skin quality: under-eye skin is among the thinnest on the body, and when it loses elasticity it looks crepey, finely lined or slightly darker as underlying vessels show through.

Under-eye filler (눈밑 필러) addresses contour. A soft filler is placed carefully to soften the groove so light falls more evenly. Doje’s Eye Program uses soft filler for this purpose, because the area needs a product and technique that stay smooth under very thin skin.

Eye Rejuran addresses skin. Rejuran is a polynucleotide (PN)-based skin booster, and its eye formulation is used in small, superficial injections to support thin, crepey skin over time. It does not fill a hollow.

How Doje Clinic approaches the eye area

The goal is a rested look, not a filled one, and the plan follows the anatomy rather than a menu. When Doje combines them

A hollow groove under thin, crepey skin is common, and correcting only one can leave the result looking unfinished. Which should you choose?

• Under-eye filler if a visible groove or hollow causes shadow even in good light.
• Eye Rejuran if the skin looks crepey or finely lined but there is little hollowing.

• Neither as the main answer if puffy eye bags or a descending mid-face are the cause — those need a different plan.

Frequently asked questions

Can Eye Rejuran fix dark circles?

It can help when thin skin makes the area look darker, but it does not fill a hollow or remove pigment. The cause of dark circles is assessed first.

Is under-eye filler risky?

The eye area needs careful technique and conservative amounts. Risks such as swelling, bruising, lumps or vascular events are discussed in consultation.

Will filler make my eye bags worse?

It can if bags are caused by fat bulging. Dr. Byun checks for this before recommending filler.

How soon can I fly after under-eye treatment?

Many people fly within a few days, but swelling can persist. Share your travel dates so treatment can be timed sensibly.

Can both be done in one visit?

Sometimes, but they are often separated so each can be judged clearly. The order is decided in your consultation.

How long does Eye Rejuran take to work?

Changes in skin quality build gradually over weeks, usually across a short series. Results vary.
