What is marionette soft filler?

Marionette lines run from the corners of the mouth towards the chin. They give the face a tired, sad or stern expression even when you feel perfectly relaxed. In Korean they are often called 마리오네트 주름. Three things usually combine to create them: tissue from the jowl area slides downwards, the small fat compartments beside the chin thin out, and the depressor muscles that pull the mouth corners down become relatively stronger.

Marionette soft filler addresses the volume part of that picture. A softer, more elastic hyaluronic acid gel is chosen because the area around the mouth moves thousands of times a day; a firm product here can feel stiff or become visible when you talk. Placed carefully, it lifts the shadow beneath the mouth corner and smooths the transition between the lower lip and the chin.

Recovery and aftercare

Expect some tenderness when opening the mouth wide or chewing firm foods for a day or two. Light swelling is common and usually settles within a few days; bruising, if it occurs, can be covered with make-up after the first day. Results and longevity

Improvement in the shadow is visible straight away, but the natural, settled look is assessed after roughly two weeks. Because the area is highly mobile, soft filler here is gradually metabolised; the time frame varies with product, dose and lifestyle. When the lines were partly driven by sagging, combining filler with lifting tends to give a more balanced, longer-lasting overall result than filler alone.

Why do I need a soft filler for marionette lines?

The mouth area moves constantly. A soft, elastic gel follows that movement, so the result feels natural and is less likely to look lumpy when you speak.

Can filler fix drooping mouth corners on its own?

Sometimes, if the cause is a local hollow. If jowls or loose skin are pulling the corners down, lifting usually needs to come first.

Will people notice I had filler?
