What is actually changing in your 30s
Facial ageing happens in every layer, but in the 30s most of the visible change is near the surface.
- Skin: collagen production gradually slows and cell turnover becomes less brisk, so skin can look duller and recover more slowly from late nights. Sun exposure from your teens and twenties starts to appear as freckles, sun spots or uneven tone, and hormonal changes, including pregnancy, can trigger melasma in some people.
- Muscle: lines that used to vanish when your face relaxed begin to linger. Crow's feet, frown lines and horizontal forehead lines move from dynamic (only with expression) towards static (visible at rest).
- Fat: some people notice the first deflation in the tear trough or a slight flattening of the upper cheek, especially with a slim build or after weight loss.
- Bone and ligaments: usually still stable. Sagging is not typically the main story yet, unless genetics or a heavier lower face play a role.
Signs people commonly notice
- Concealer creasing under the eyes, or a shadow that sleep no longer fixes
- Fine lines that stay after smiling
- Larger-looking pores and rougher texture, especially on the cheeks
- A square-looking jaw from clenching or teeth grinding
- Pigment that becomes more noticeable after summer

Two faces, same treatment, different results.
The difference is the design. Tell us your goals and dates; in your 1:1 consultation Dr. Byun Jeik shows you what your face needs, and what it doesn't.
Priorities for this decade
- Daily sun protection. It remains the most effective long-term habit for skin ageing and pigment.
- Soften expression lines before they etch. Low, precise doses of Botox can relax the muscles behind crow's feet or frown lines so that creases are less likely to deepen.
- Invest in skin quality. Skin boosters such as Rejuran, GOURI or Re2O, and autologous exosome, support hydration, texture and resilience.
- Address pigment early. Helios 785/1064 dual toning, with intensity and sessions adjusted to pigment depth and pattern, is easier when pigment is still superficial.
- Treat genuine hollows conservatively. A small amount of soft filler or Eye Rejuran may brighten a tired under-eye; more is rarely better at this age.
What can usually wait
Deep structural lifting, thread lifts and larger filler volumes are generally not the first step in the 30s unless an assessment shows early laxity or a heavy lower face. There is no reliable “preventive filler”: adding volume before it is lost can change proportions over time. A good plan for this decade is mostly about doing small things consistently.
How Doje approaches your 30s
Doje Clinic's philosophy is that care needs change as time passes, and the 30s are where that timeline begins. In a 1:1 consultation, Dr. Byun Jeik reviews your facial structure and expression pattern, and Mark-View 3D skin analysis records an objective baseline for pores, pigment and texture. That record becomes valuable later, because it shows what has actually changed rather than relying on memory. Treatments are chosen only as far as needed; for many people in their 30s that is a short, focused list.

Frequently asked questions
Is my 30s too early for Botox?
Not necessarily. Many people start in their late 20s or 30s for expression lines, using conservative doses. It is not required for everyone.
Should I start Ultherapy or Thermage in my 30s?
Some people with early laxity or a heavier lower face benefit, but many do not need structural lifting yet. An assessment decides.
What causes dark circles in my 30s?
Usually a mix of early hollowing, thin skin, pigment and visible vessels. Treatment depends on which cause dominates.
Can pregnancy affect my skin?
Yes. Melasma and other pigment changes can appear. Many aesthetic treatments are postponed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Do skin boosters prevent ageing?
They do not stop ageing, but they can improve hydration, texture and resilience, which helps skin look healthier for longer.
