What is Juvederm?

Juvederm is a range of hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers produced by Allergan Aesthetics. Each product in the range has a different balance of firmness, cohesivity and spread, which decides where it belongs in the face. Firmer, high-lift products are suited to deep placement over bone — for example the cheekbone, chin or jaw angle — while softer products are designed for lips, fine lines and areas with thin skin.

Because Juvederm is an HA filler, it is gradually metabolised and can usually be dissolved with hyaluronidase if adjustment is ever needed. That reversibility, combined with a broad product range, makes it a versatile option for both structural and refining work.

Recovery and longevity

Deep structural injections can feel tender for a few days, especially when chewing after jawline or chin work. Swelling usually peaks within the first 48 hours. Avoid pressure on the area, intense exercise, saunas and alcohol for around two days.
