Cleansing vs calming
Not every visit to an aesthetic clinic needs a needle or a device that heats tissue. Two of Doje’s gentlest options are designed for skin condition rather than structure.
Aquapeel (아쿠아필) is a water-based cleansing treatment. A handpiece delivers cleansing solutions to the skin while suction lifts away dead cells, excess oil and debris from pores. Skin usually looks clearer and smoother immediately, and it can help prepare the surface before other treatments.
Oxygen therapy (산소테라피) delivers oxygen together with a soothing, hydrating solution onto the skin. Its role at Doje is calming and recovery: it is part of Hydration & Soothing care and one of the three elements of the One-Day Program, where it follows a signature thread lift and autologous exosome care. Doje’s menu also includes O2Derm among its single treatments.
How Doje Clinic uses them
Doje’s philosophy is that care needs change over time. These treatments are less about dramatic change and more about keeping the skin in good condition between, before or after bigger steps. In a 1:1 consultation, Dr. Byun Jeik considers your skin type, sensitivity and what else is planned.
- Congested, oily or dull skin — Aquapeel tends to be more useful.
- Dry, reactive or recently treated skin — oxygen therapy is usually the gentler choice.
- Before an event — either can give a fresh look with no downtime; timing is planned so skin is calm on the day.
- After lasers, Potenza or lifting — soothing care such as oxygen therapy, Cryocell or LED may be chosen to support recovery.
Neither treatment changes facial structure, and neither replaces sun protection or a good home routine.

When Doje combines them
A simple, effective sequence is to cleanse with Aquapeel and then calm and hydrate with oxygen therapy. This can be a stand-alone refresh, or a way to prepare and settle the skin around Helios toning or skin boosters. For people with sensitive skin, Dr. Byun may skip the cleansing step and use soothing care alone.
Which should you choose?
- Aquapeel if your skin feels congested, oily or rough.
- Oxygen therapy if your skin feels dry, tight or reactive, or you have just had another procedure.
- Both for a pre-event refresh when your skin tolerates cleansing.
- Something else if your concern is sagging, pigment or scarring — these need targeted treatments.
Cost
Care treatments are quoted after a 1:1 consultation, alone or as part of a plan. Korean non-covered (비급여) aesthetic fees are set per plan; ask for a written quote.

Frequently asked questions
Is Aquapeel suitable for sensitive skin?
It can be adjusted, but very reactive skin may do better with soothing care alone. Dr. Byun decides after looking at your skin.
What does oxygen therapy feel like?
Most people find it cool and relaxing. There is no numbing and usually no downtime.
Can I wear makeup afterwards?
Usually yes, though leaving skin bare for the rest of the day is often suggested.
How close to an event should I book?
Many people book a few days before an event so any flushing has settled. Share your date when booking.
Do these treatments lift the face?
No. They improve skin condition and comfort but do not change structure.
Why is oxygen therapy in the One-Day Program?
It is included to support skin recovery alongside the signature thread lift and Doje autologous exosome care.
