What is body filler?
Most people think of filler as a facial treatment, but the same principle — restoring volume where it has been lost or was never present — can be applied to the body. Body filler (바디 필러) refers to injectable filler placed in selected body areas to soften a hollow, smooth a dip or improve balance between two sides. The goal is a defined, localised change, not a large increase in size.
The body is very different from the face. Skin is thicker in many areas, tissues move with posture and exercise, and the volumes involved can be larger. That makes product choice, injection depth and realistic expectations especially important, and it is why body filler is approached area by area rather than as a standard menu item.
How Doje Clinic approaches body contour
Doje Clinic's Body Program brings together three tools: body filler, body injections and Body ONDA. Each addresses a different problem. Filler adds volume where there is a deficit; ONDA is a microwave-based body-contouring treatment considered where there is excess fat; body injections cover other injectable approaches chosen by area and goal.
In a 1:1 consultation, Dr. Byun Jeik looks at the area you are concerned about in the context of your overall proportions. Sometimes the best answer is filler; sometimes reducing fat nearby creates the contour you want without adding anything; sometimes a combination works best. As with all Doje treatments, the principle is to use each tool only as far as needed.

Two faces, same treatment, different results.
The difference is the design. Tell us your goals and dates; in your 1:1 consultation Dr. Byun Jeik shows you what your face needs, and what it doesn't.
Who it suits — and who it doesn't
- Suits: localised hollows or dips that bother you in clothing or swimwear.
- Suits: mild asymmetries where a small amount of volume would restore balance.
- Suits: people who prefer a non-surgical approach with gradual planning.
- Not the right tool: large-volume changes that would require surgical options, or areas where the concern is excess fat.
- Postpone or discuss: infection or skin conditions in the area, pregnancy or breastfeeding, bleeding disorders, recent surgery nearby.
Volume or reduction? Choosing the right tool
| Concern | Typical direction |
|---|---|
| A dip or hollow | Body filler to add volume |
| Excess fat disrupting contour | Body ONDA or other reduction approaches |
| Mixed contour issues | Combination planned within the Body Program |
| Loose skin | Discussed separately; filler alone rarely solves laxity |
What to expect step by step
- 1:1 consultation: Dr. Byun assesses the area, your proportions and goals.

- Treatment: careful placement at the planned depth, with symmetry checked.
- Aftercare: written instructions on activity, pressure and clothing.
Recovery and aftercare
Tenderness, swelling and some bruising are common for several days. You may be advised to avoid intense exercise, pressure on the treated area, saunas and alcohol for a period, and to wear comfortable clothing. Sitting or sleeping positions may need adjusting depending on the area. Follow-up via WhatsApp, KakaoTalk or LINE is available if you have questions.
Cost
Cost depends on the area, product and amount, and on whether body filler is combined with other Body Program items, so it is quoted after a 1:1 consultation. Korean aesthetic fees are non-covered (비급여) and set per plan — ask for a written quote.

Frequently asked questions
What is body filler used for?
It is used to add volume or smooth localised hollows, dips or asymmetries in selected body areas.
Which body areas can be treated?
Suitable areas depend on anatomy and goals and are confirmed by Dr. Byun at consultation.
Is body filler the same as facial filler?
The principle is similar, but product choice, depth and amounts differ because body tissues behave differently.
What if my concern is fat rather than a hollow?
Then reduction approaches such as Body ONDA may be more appropriate. The Body Program allows the right tool to be chosen.
How long is recovery?
Tenderness and swelling usually last several days. Activity guidance is given based on the area treated.
